We are a husband & wife team that have taken our passion for self defense, with skills gleaned from many of the top firearms instructors in the industry, and have made it our mission to teach others those skills. Our goal is for every student to know what they are capable of today and what they can be capable of accomplishing with proper instruction and consistent practice. Self defense is granted to us all, but carrying and using a firearm in self defense is a great responsibility. We owe it to our community to be responsible with the actions we take. We would love to gain your trust by letting us be your guide into the self defense lifestyle.

For home defense or conceal carry the modern day semi-automatic pistol is a optimal weapon in the hands of a trained shooter. The training at TKD focuses on building your skill from where you are at and helping you to achieve a greater understanding of your abilities.
Defensive Pistol #1
This course is focused on the fundamentals of shooting a pistol for home defense or with the intent to carry in public. Each student will be instructed and guided according to their physical abilities and skill levels.
If you are one of those gun guys that believe that you don't need a fundamentals course because you have been shooting all your life and your daddy was a Navy Seal death squad leader and taught you how to shoot a gun, I ask that you please reconsider your decision. All the top instructors in the industry structure and build their courses on good fundamentals.
Defensive Pistol #2
Developing a faster draw and getting the first shot is a must in the defense of your kingdom.
Speed is king but accuracy will keep you out of prison in a gun fight and we will help you to achieve both objectives.
Having an intimate relationship with your trigger is a must to getting accurate shots on a target in a precision engagement.
Understanding the small details in motor skills will help you learn what it takes to shoot fast and keep your groupings tighter.
Real World Hand Gun.
This course addresses your vision in the fight, understanding your hits on target and what you can see in the moment.
Cover and concealment is crucial to understand and optimize so come along with us as we explore options of engaging and shooting around objects like automobiles, doors and corners learn the techniques and positions for getting the tactical advantage.

The Armalite Rifle commonly known as the AR-15 is a very popular rifle in the American household but unfortunately very few of the public are aware or take a course on how to properly operate this amazing rifle to get the full defensive potential out of it.
With proper training and weapons understanding, TKD will show you how to use the AR-15 platform in the defense of your kingdom no matter where you dwell.
This is not the big scary black gun that the media would like you to believe exists that will do harm to the public but instead it is an optimal tool for your kingdom defense.
Practical Rifle #1
This course will integrate the use of slings and body position for the manipulation of the rifle for optimal hits on target giving you the confidence in your fighting abilities.
This course is designed to give you the opportunity to test your abilities and the quality of your weapon to operate and perform under light pressure before you are both tested in the real world. If you do not own an AR-15 and would like to try one out before you purchase please let us know and we can possibly supply you with one.
LONG RANGE PRECISION
Have you ever wanted to go long I mean really long? Very few sounds are as rewarding as ringing steel beyond 1,000 yards, how about hitting a half MOA target in a twelve MPH wind or having the confidence of taking an animal beyond what you have ever thought possible.

LRP #1
Welcome to the long game, We at TKD have a goal to introduce the public to the world of precision shooting, we structure our LRP#1 course around a budget friendly approach. Getting into this sport can get very expensive but we would like to be your guide in traversing this world. LRP #1 is a three day course stretched over several months, Day one is the class room portion that is held early spring and there are two of the same lecture just different days to give options for your attendance. The Friday & Saturday range portion is scheduled at least one month later in the summer so that our students have time to purchase the tools and supplies for the course.

Jonathan Heslep grew up in the mountains of southwest Montana. He has worked in Emergency Services since he was 18 years old, volunteering at three different local fire departments since 2008. He got his Associate of Applied Science degree at the Helena College University of Montana, majoring in Fire & Rescue, where he worked as an Adjunct Instructor for two years upon graduating. He is currently a Captain/EMT with the Montana City Volunteer Fire Department.
Jonathan worked as a wildland firefighter and EMT with the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation for 15 years before leaving as an Assistant Fire Management Officer to start a new career teaching civilian Emergency Services.
